What I will be working on:

I will be developing and testing sensors for the pixel detector for the CMS phase II upgrade at FNAL. I will search for the standard model Higgs boson decaying to bottom quarks, use the Higgs to bb decay as a tool to look for new physics, and search for final states where the Higgs is produced with significant high momentum compared to its mass, making necessary the use of substructure techniques and a dedicated b-tagging strategy.

My role in CMS past and present:

I joined CMS as a PhD student in 2012 working on b-tagging algorithms optimization and the search for the Higgs decaying to bottom quarks in the VH and VBF channels. My thesis was a search for resonance decaying to HH, where each H decays to bb. As a postdoc on CMS, starting in 2014, I have focused on optimizing the b-tagging performance for the identification of H to bb in the boosted regime and on searches for BSM TeV resonances decaying to HH and Z+photon. I'm currently serving as b-tagging contact for the B2G group.
