LPC presents: Colliders Of Tomorrow

  • What is it?
LPC presents: Colliders Of Tomorrow, started in February 2023. A new seminar/workshop series hosted at Fermilab aimed at developing expertise and building a community of US scientists interested in the Colliders of Tomorrow. This series aims to be interdisciplinary and broadly relevant across experimental high energy physics. The series will consist of invited talks on future collider related topics, paired with hands-on tutorials and discussion sessions to cultivate physics and performance studies. A harmonized computing and simulation framework will be developed and made available. Students will have the opportunity to present recent work at each meeting. Early career scientists and students are highly encouraged to participate as this is a great opportunity to get involved in research that could directly shape the future of the field.

  • When?
Colliders Of Tomorrow typically occurs about twice a month on Thursdays. Nominal time slot is 1:30pm Central Thursdays with a duration about an hour and a half, but can accommodate a different time slot to the speaker's availability.

  • Where?
The physical conference room for Colliders Of Tomorrow is Sunrise Room at WH11NE at Fermilab.
Colliders Of Tomorrow will be also broadcasted via zoom. The seminars and workshop materials presented in this series will be preserved for asynchronous and future participants. The zoom link agenda can be found at the respective meeting indico page. The passcode for the zoom room will be distributed via the e-mail announcement, but can also be requested per e-mail at lpc-cot AT fnal.gov.
