Name:

Zhenbin Wu

Institution:

University of Illinois, Chicago

What I will be working on:

I will be working on the search for the top squark in all-hadronic final state, with the full CMS Run 3 dataset. Using the SUSY top quark tagger trained with deep neural network technique, I will study the search region design to extend the reach of the analysis. I will also work on the Correlator system of Phase 2 Level-1 trigger, focusing on the jet clustering and substructure algorithm on the Level 1.

My role in CMS past and present:

I have studied the prospects for a search for supersymmetry in the vector boson fusion (VBF) channel with missing transverse energy and VBF jets final state at the HL-LHC. I have served as the jet met upgrade group convener, produced results for the Technical Proposal and scope document for the Phase 2 upgrade of the CMS detector. I have been searching for the supersymmetric partner of the top quark, top squark, in all-hadronic final state using top tagging technique since 2014. I have been involving with coordination and development of the trigger menu for Phase 1 Level-1 trigger system. I am currently serving as the convener of the SUSY trigger group.
