My analysis work at the LPC will focus on evolving the CMS data scouting program to include more sophisticated jet substructure algorithms, enabling CMS to look for boosted electroweak and exotic bosons without losing phase space to increasing trigger thresholds. I will be involved with commissioning these algorithms as Run 3 of the LHC begins. Within the HCAL project, I will be working on local energy reconstruction with out-of-time pileup subtraction using machine learning, and the deployment of a machine-learning based data quality monitoring algorithm. Finally, I will be working on HGCAL trigger primitive generation, specifically investigating the potential of the autoencoder-based data concentrator.
