LPC Distinguished Researcher

Name:

Eva Halkiadakis

Institution:

Rutgers

What I will be working on will concentrate on two areas:

  1. Searching for new physics signatures with jets with the CMS detector
  2. Work on High Luminosity LHC upgrade of the CMS outer tracker
The work in each of these two areas has great potential for continued collaboration with other researchers at the Fermilab LPC. The LPC has a strong team of people working on physics with jets and jet substructure and it is the center for the upgrade projects for CMS in the US.

My role in CMS past and present:

  • 2023-present Member of the CMS Collaboration Board Advisory Group
  • 2023-present Member of the CMS Thesis Award Committee
  • 2021-present Member of the USCMS Advisory Board
  • 2017-present Member of the CMS EXO/B2G Publication Committee
  • 2015-2017 Co-convener of the CMS EXO Non-Hadronic Subgroup
  • 2012-2013 Co-Convener of the CMS SUSY Physics Group
