Jennet Dickinson

As an LPC DR, Jennet will focus on measurements of high-energy Higgs boson production, which provide unique sensitivity to new physics phenomena that occur at high energy scales. She aims to explore possible interpretations of these measurements in terms of Effective Field Theory (EFT) in collaboration with other analysis efforts at the LPC. Jennet will continue her activities related to the CMS Outer Tracker upgrade, including the development of testing and quality assurance procedures for modules and macro-pixel sub-assemblies (MaPSA). She will also explore the possibility of using machine learning on-ASIC to simplify data read-out at future particle detectors.
Jennet joined the CMS experiment in 2020 after completing her graduate studies on the ATLAS experiment at the University of California, Berkeley / Lawrence Berkeley National Lab. During her time on CMS, Jennet has been a leading member of the effort to search for high-energy Higgs boson production in the Higgs boson to a bottom-antibottom quark decay channel, which provides powerful sensitivity to due to its high branching ratio and distinctive boosted topology. Jennet has been active in the CMS Outer Tracker upgrade, in particular with the development of the testing procedure for the macro-pixel sub-assembly (MaPSA) that forms the pixel component of the pixel-strip (PS) module.
