What I will be working on:

As a DR, I will be focusing on analyses of VBS WV semileptonic events, with a particular emphasis on the search for anomalous quartic gauge couplings and polarization studies. This will involve the development of dedicated ML-based jet taggers to distinguish longitudinally and transversally polarized jets.

In addition, my technical work will center on the Outer Tracker, which is entering the production phase. I will be testing the modules while training students and postdocs, ensuring that protocols are clear and easy to follow. I will also oversee module QA & QC procedures and work on finalizing the calibrations.

Moreover, I will expand my role in supporting the MAPS R&D effort during my term.

My role in CMS past and present:

I have been involved with CMS and the tracker upgrade since 2015, starting as a summer intern at Fermilab. During my master’s and PhD, I focused on R&D for the Phase-2 pixel detector.

For my PhD, I conducted a search for new heavy resonances decaying to VV or VH hadronic final states, using a multi-dimensional maximum likelihood fit to enhance sensitivity. Currently, I am searching for new physics in VBS semileptonic signatures within an EFT framework.

I am also deeply involved in the Phase-2 Outer Tracker Upgrade, where I test strip-strip and pixel-strip modules, both in the lab and in test beams, develop calibration and QA tools, and have been part of a task force that resolved key issues prior to production.
