LPC Fellows

Name:

Eva Halkiadakis

What I will be working on:

During my fellowship I will perform searches for Supersymmetry with the CMS detector. As co-convener of the SUSY physics group I will also oversee the searches for SUSY in CMS. The existing broad expertise on SUSY searches centered at the LPC at Fermilab are a great asset. The LPC Fellows program allows me to travel to CERN during this critical time, as these potential discovery analyses are being completed.

My role in CMS past and present:

I have been fully active on CMS since 2006 when I moved to Rutgers as an Assitant Professor. My main interest is in searches for Supersymmetry and "exotic" new physics signatures. One of my most significant contributions to CMS has been the current convenership of the SUSY physics group (2012- present) and the convenership of the Exotica Multijet subgroup (2009-2011). The prospects for discovery in the next year are compelling and I am excited to be a part of it. Additionally, my engagement in CMS has been focused on the SiPixel system in particular the Data Quality Monitoring for this critical inner most sub-detector.
