LPC Distinguished Researcher

What I will be working on:

My interests are in physics beyond the standard model. Especially, the search for top quark partners has always been compelling to me. At the LPC, I will pursue searches for vector like quarks in the 13 TeV data from CMS, using jet substructure to help isolate the signal. I also plan to promote activities and lectures at the LPC about topics in statistics. During my time at Fermilab I will work with colleagues there on the phase 2 outer tracker project to deepen the collaboration between universities and Fermilab in this project.

My role in CMS past and present:

Following my interest in top partners, I have worked on searches for new quarks at CMS and co-led the 4th generation group in EXO and later the XTY group in B2G. More recently, I have searched for the decays of Higgs bosons and new resonances to final states with tau leptons. I have managed the HF part of the phase 1 HCAL upgrade for the past 3 years and I am now engaged in preparations for the phase 2 upgrade of the outer tracker, in particular sensor development and module assembly.
