What I will be working on:

My main physics analysis will be searching for an exotic decay of a SM Higgs boson and/or a heavy Higgs boson into light Higgs partners (pseudoscalars) based on the Next-to-Minimal Supersymmetric Standard Model (NMSSM). The pair of pseudoscalars decay into a boosted ΞΌΞΌπžƒπžƒ final state. Because the standard πžƒ reconstruction results in a low efficiency in a boosted πžƒπžƒ pair decaying into hadrons, my second project will be developing a novel approach based on deep learning technique to tag overlapping πžƒπžƒ pairs from reconstructed jets, which will benefit many physics analyses involving a boosted πžƒπžƒ pair topology. My detector project will be CMS outer tracker (OT) module assembly and reliability tests for the incoming module pre-production/production at Fermilab. I will contribute to refine the assembly procedure and module testing setup at the SiDet production center, and to run campaigns of beam tests for the assembled modules. I will also contribute to the DCS and DAQ setup for the module tests. In addition, I will participate in the OT detector mechanics construction.
