University of Rochester

What I will be working on:

For the semi-visible jet analysis, we will begin investigating the t-channel production and considering the model where the mediator Z' is boosted with initial-state radiation. For the HGCal upgrade, I will continue investigating other factors such the wrapping material, the plastic material, and geometry of a tile can affect its performance at the Fermilab test beam facility.

My role in CMS past and present:

Since the summer of 2018, I have been involved in the the semi-visible jet analysis and HGCal upgrade. In the semi-visible jet analysis, which is a non-WIMP dark matter search, I have been performing studies related to data quality issues, MC modeling and systematic uncertainty. My contribution to the HGCal upgrade includes improving our understanding of the relationship between dose constant and dose rate and studying the how various factors such as wrapping hole size can affect the performance of a scintillator tile.
