Description
Now that LHC Run 1 is over, we can summarize what we learned in terms of soft-QCD measurements, and how this can feed into improving the Monte Carlo generators in preparation for Run 2. ATLAS and CMS performed many such interesting measurements, and compared the results with existing MC models and tunes, and clear discrepancies and new features have been observed in many cases. In parallel, tuning the generators, specially the matched matrix element and shower setups, have received a lot of attention.
